This album is a charity release, all 100% of its profits will be matched 100% and donated to the Children's Improvement Organization in Cambodia.

Love ultimately triumphs over hate, but innocence can never be regained once it is lost.

Every song that is included herein has been "ethically sourced" (meaning nearly all samples pertain to the subject matter that is on display). It is a labor of love and should stand as a testament to those victims and unheard voices which have seen their homelands, of discussion in this album and elsewhere in the world, ravaged by war with senseless violence committed by those in power who wish for nothing more than to deny involvement and profit off of the suffering of others.

I started work on this album roughly a year and a half prior to its release and worked on it sporadically until the end of 2021...

Now that I am finally at the end of the road, I am relieved and also very much hoping that people will hear this message and not simply listen to it. Talking to survivors of such a tragic event is not only informative but continues to help give others the necessary platform they need in order to speak truth to power.

The proceeds from the single released last August "ញុំមិនបានដឹងទេ (I Didn't Know)," as well as this album "Besach's Lament," will be matched 100% and donated to the Children's Improvement Organization (CIO) in Cambodia. Feel free to see their mission statement on their website here:

Besach (បិសាច) or demon, "in Khmer culture is one of several types of supernatural entities [that] are believed to exist. They make themselves known by means of inexplicable sounds or happenings. Among these phenomena are khmoc (ghosts), pret and besach (particularly nasty demons, the spirits of people who have died violent, untimely, or unnatural deaths)...."

This album makes you feel like you're inside an old computer that is on it's last legs. Everything is glitchy, aggressive, and decaying around you. There are only a few moments where it feels something is still functioning and intact, only to be followed by more sounds of disrepair. Truly a special experience. icu8some2
